As disciples and believers we are called to the great commission.

Without the Gospel people lack the Truth of God and the Hope of Jesus. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Our mission is to take the light of Jesus to the people of Italy and throughout the world.  To share the hope of eternal salvation and restoration of a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

 

For centuries Italy has been thought  of as a Christian nation. Unfortunately you will find Italians in a much different senerio than it may appear. Italy has suffered great religious persecution. Just over 50 years ago Italian citizens weren't allowed to have the bible. This was a right reserved only for the Clergy of the Catholic church. The only bible in italy for many years was the Latin Vulgate ( which the common people were unable to translate due to the writen language). Today there are now four translations of the protastant bible available to the Italian people. Because of a lack in demand and misdirected education, Italian citizens typically do not own, or have never read the bible. There is very little literature being translated and printed for Christians in Italy most of wich cannot be purchased in Italian book stores. 

 

Italy's popultation is 61,680,120. When comparing statistics regarding religious faith it would appear Italy is full of spiritual people in no need of the gospel. Most statisic would show that Italians are predominatley Chrisitan. Unfortunatley this isn't the case. While some 80% of Italians claim an affiliation with the Roman Catholic church only a small percentage is practicing, about 5 %. There is less than 1% of the population that are born again believers. Many citizens base their salvation soley on the fact that they are good people. Which we know the bible talks clearly about our salvation not hinging on our works it is only by grace through faith and belief in Jesus (our Savior) that we are placed into right standing (Righteousness) with God and receive eternal salvation.

 

God makes people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. He does this for all who believe in Christ. Everyone is the same.

 Occultism is growing at an astounding rate, it has become an everday part of life for Italians. The European nations are widley unevangelized. Missionaries have focussed on third world countries over the last century. We believe God is raising missionaries up to spread the gospel throughout Europe, the harvest is ready but the workers are few. It is time to take the power of God to the people of italy and all throughout Europe!

 

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
